Dr. Fong-Yih Caroline Bih was an active leader in both CBA and AWIS organizations, whose loss we greatly suffer. CBA has named her Honorary President posthumously. We would like to honor Caroline and her family by making her dedication and passion known to our community, hence the scholarship in her namesake is established with the joint contribution from CBA and AWIS board.
Since Fall quarter 2007, AWIS has advertised the scholarships to Foothill--DeAnza community college district. One of the scholarships in the amount of $1000 is named "Fong-Yih Bih Memorial Scholarship". The selection process has taken place in February and the awardees was honored on Apr 30, 2008 NCC-AWIS Awards & Recognition Banquet. For details please go to website: www.pa-awis.org.
