A message from Patty Kiang

CBA organization has been established since 1997 as a nonprofit organization. Through the leadership and dedication of the former presidents, officers and volunteers, CBA continues to grow and prosper. Currently we have over 1,000 members. Over 300 people attended our 2010 annual conference.

As the new president, I would like to continue the tradition of expanding our participations and contributions with various professional societies in 2011. We will support and form alliances with other professional associations to conduct various professional conferences, meetings, workshops and seminars; CBA plans to provide more community service such as organizing educational seminars for local high school & college students, providing scholarship programs to encourage the young generation to pursue Biopharmaceutical sciences; we also plan to build a stronger relationship with the bioscience industry in Taiwan and China, by planning a business development trip to Taiwan to support Taiwan’s BioPharma development, and to host delegation visits in the bay area to bridge China and the US Biopharma industry.

In addition, we would also like to strengthen our members’ networking in the community through events such as our annual conference, a summer picnic and BBQ. Greater communication can also be established through CBA website and publications.

am grateful to have many Board members and volunteers to support our objectives; I am confident that by working together we will have a productive year and achieve our goals.
