The Taiwanese government officials will also be in the delegation. --------------------- (4) Marriott Santa Clara will charge parking fee. However, we will pay our volunteers parking fee. We will give you coupons for free parking. If you do not receive the coupon, please contact Oscar. ---------------------- (5) Every volunteer will get a free lunch bento box, ordered from a local Chinese restaurant. Our Taiwanese guests do not like American food prepared by Marriott. (They complained every year in the past.) Even though we bring food from outside, we still have to pay Marriott for food service charge. ---------------------- (6) Since the event is financed by the Taiwanese government with Taiwanese taxpayers' money, we are not allowed to promote our corporate sponsors or to show their logo at this event. ----------------------- (7) We do not anticipate that our organization will spend any money for this event. But if we need to spend money, please consult with Science and Technology Division, Taiwan Economic & Cultural Office (TECO) in Santa Clara first. As an entity of foreign government in the US, TECO does not pay any sale tax. So all the expense should be paid by TECO directly to avoid sale tax. ----------------------- (8) This year, fortunately, for the first time, there will be no partition in the conference room. So, we do not need to be there at 4:30 AM to do the partition. ---------------------- If you have any other question, please contact Oscar Hur, oscarhur@yuhonru.com.tw
