Biotech industry is viewed as the bright star in current industrial advancement and a major investment target for venture capitalists as more biotech companies in U.S. have successfully developed their products and become profitable. To encourage the entrepreneurship among our members, Chinese Bioscience Association is organizing our very first entrepreneur boot camp to provide training and networking opportunity for those who are considering a different career path. The boot camp consists of one venture capitalist panel with VCs experienced in life science investment in US, China and Taiwan. It also features an entrepreneur panel with three scientist-turn-entrepreneurs representing the large, medium and emerging biotech companies. In addition to the two panels, we have seminars to discuss legal issues in incorporation and intellectual property. Finally a presentation from San Jose BioCenter should provide valuable information for those entrepreneurs seeking affordable lab spaces and shared instruments.
It is a part of our annual conference. Since seats are limited, camp goers are encouraged to RSVP through our on-line registration and payment system. Please send your questions to event organizer, Dr. Joshua Chang, at chiahwa25@yahoo.com.
We hope to see you there.
